Green Acres Manor News - Sept. 2005
Greetings from Green Acres Manor!
Welcome to the second month of the Green Acres Manor news letter. Let me start by saying that your ideas and or feedback are always welcome, and what you want to hear about in this news letter. There are so many things that happen in a month here, it would be difficult to write it all down.
We had a few birthdays this past month. Congratulations to Peg Poole on her 97th and Helga on her (she’s not telling!). My wife Monica is finally here with us. YEAH!!! She has begun a new exercise program with the residents that is very enjoyable and healthy, and they seem to like it very much. We plan to continue to expand on this to a more comprehensive program.
We have said farewell to Anne Rocha. Anne moved to another facility to accommodate her growing needs. Anne was very well liked and will be missed greatly. We will also be saying goodbye to Helga Sonnenberg on August 29th. The time has come for her to move closer to family down in Bakersfield. She will however make guest appearances in the future to help us out. Congratulations and good luck on her future endeavors and retirement. It is well deserved.
Believe it or not, September 7-14 is National Assisted Living Week. Celebrate it by stopping by to say hi to your loved ones and thank you to the wonderful staff we have here. It would be much appreciated. I would also like to inform you of a great opportunity to help the Alzheimer’s Association. They will be having their annual Wine Country Memory Walk on Saturday, October 8th starting at 9am in Santa Rosa at Spring Lake Park. I have enclosed 2 of their brochures for you and your family or friends. Please take a look and help if you can by sponsoring our team ‘Green Acres Manor’ and or walking with us. What a great cause that we all share in helping. See the brochure or call me for more information.
In closing, I would like to ask for your assistance in helping me create a better home here at Green Acres Manor. Please send me one or two of your business cards if you have them for my records. I would also like to send this newsletter to more of your family or friends. If you provide names and addresses to me, I will add them to my news letter mailing list. I’m sure they would appreciate the information. And as always, please let me know if you have any ideas of how we can make Green Acres Manor a better home for all of our residents. Thank you, and I hope you are having an enjoyable summer.
