Green Acres Manor News - November 2008
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We hope everyone's plans for a wonderful Thanksgiving feast are already prepared. We have another delicious meal planned including all the traditional fix'ns to make for a full tummy. If anyone is interested in joining us for this lovely meal, please just give us a call. Our meal will be served at lunchtime, 11:30am ish.
There are a lot of things that we are thankful for here at Green Acres. We are so thankful that we have 12 wonderful residents who we love so much. We are thankful for their families who are very kind, and are so involved. We are thankful that we have 10 committed, hard working, and caring employees who do so much for us and our residents. We are thankful that we have been blessed to live in such a beautiful environment where there is so much life, rich soils, and plenty of sun. Lastly, we are thankful that we can live in such a great country where anything is possible, and our lives are so enriched.
We would like to welcome a new family and resident to our home, Joan Crossland. She comes to us from her home in Oakmont, and has a marvelous, supportive, and kind husband. Welcome to you both!
Christmas is right around the corner, and we can't wait! This is such a wonderful time of year around here with fresh baked goods, stimulating and fun decorations, more visitors, and a general cheer in the air. We know that all we hear on the TV is doom and gloom about this, that, and the other. I'd like to see the glass as half full, though. During this holiday season, I will choose to see all the good things going on around me and focus on being a better person, husband, boss, and business person. The best gifts sometimes are the ones that come from the heart versus from the shopping mall. We will be celebrating Christmas on Christmas morning with our residents. You are all invited to join us for gift opening and treats at 10am. Please let us know if you will be here for this or if you will be taking your loved one out. We will make sure they are ready for the occasion.
Once again, have a joyous Thanksgiving. Take care, and we hope to see you all very soon.
